There are two things that happen in June that are important to Geekly Download. One is the birthday of our fearless gamer-leader Radnor, and the second is E3! With E3 just around the corner, there are a ton of things to look forward to and speculate about. Every year is another chance for big studios and developers hoping to blow our hair back with the projects they’ve been working on, and it’s one of the best things about summer!

Electronic Arts 12pm PDT, 3pm EST
There is a lot that we can expect from EA this year, from titles like ‘Madden‘ to ‘Need for Speed‘. ‘Fifa‘ and ‘Star Wars‘ might be making new announcements this year, too. Something else that’s creating a buzz is the announcement of a new project, code-named ‘Dylan‘, which will be a sci-fi competitor to the upcoming ‘Destiny 2‘.

Microsoft Xbox 2pm PDT, 5pm EST
Microsoft should be giving updates regarding ‘Sea of Thieves‘ and ‘Crackdown 3‘. The hope of ‘Project Scorpio‘ updates have gamers on the edge of their seats, for sure! We have little info about these projects at this time, but what we learn at E3 will greatly enhance our knowledge of these games and hardware.
Bethesda 7pm PDT, 10pm EST
One of Geekly Download’s favorite studios has some great things to talk about as well! ‘Quake Champions’ has had a very successful beta period with a ton of hype, and we cannot wait for the official release date. Is it too much to hope of the announcement for the new Elder Scrolls title? We think not. There are also rumors of a sequel to ‘The Evil Within‘, which is definitely another reason to look forward to this year’s E3!

Ubisoft 1pm PDT, 4pm EST
Now, we all know that Ubisoft hasn’t exactly had the best track record over the past couple of years, with disappointing titles like ‘Assassin’s Creed‘, ‘Ghost Recon Wildlands’ and ‘The Division‘. We will probably see info regarding upcoming updates for ‘Rainbow Six: Siege‘ and ‘For Honor‘. We already know the new ‘Far Cry’ title, but hope remains for details on ‘The Crew 2‘. Let’s not forget the new ‘Assassin’s Creed‘, not to mention the hope for a new ‘Splinter Cell‘.
Sony PlayStation 6pm PDT, 9pm EST
There’s so much to look forward to! How about ‘The Last of Us: Part Two‘, the new ‘God of War‘, ‘Insomniac’s Spider-Man‘, ‘Detroit: Become Human‘, ‘Days Gone‘, ‘Dreams‘ and ‘GT Sport‘? Let’s not forget the much-anticipated and closely guarded ‘Death Stranding‘? Hideo Kojima will undoubtedly blow our minds with his latest project!

Nintendo 9am PDT, 12pm EST
Similar to past years, Nintendo will not be hosting the biggest part of the big E3 events, but instead will be having a Nintendo Spotlight event online with all of their greatest news. We can assume that ‘Super Mario Odyssey‘ will make an appearance on the big screen, as well as the showroom floor.
We also have knowledge that Activision will be there, along with Capcom and Konami. Geekly Download is especially excited for Devolver Digital to make an appearance, as well. All of these studios are amazing in what they have done in the past, but the future holds a lot of different details and we have no clue as to everything that will be shown.
As gamers everywhere count down the days to E3, we can only imagine the influx of information and opportunity for the world of gaming. And as Tom Petty once said, ‘The waiting is the hardest part.’
